2008 Vette MP3 player. How does it work?

Is there an external jack to plug in an MP3 player, or do you put the MP3 songs on a CD?

If you get the base radio it will have an external audio jack so that you can plug in an Ipod or the like and have the music broadcast over your speakers. You will still need to control the playback and music selection from your mp3 player (Ipod or other such device).

If you have the Nav radio it does not currently have mp3 capability other than burning your mp3's to a cd and playing them through the cd player in the car.

Slated for availability in September, the Genuine Corvette Accessories group is supposed to release the PAL (personal audio link.) a dealer installed optional unti that will locate in the center console and allow the ipod to be hooked up and controlled via the Nav head unit's touch screen (playback and music selection) and it will charge the ipod if the vehicle is running.
