My issue has been resolved.....
Les Stanford has ordered me another 08 as of today.... and picking up this one I have very soon..... its been parked since I got home (torture I might add)... but a necessary evil I suppose to get what I wanted/ordered... now I have to wait a bit more... but its OK....so the 2nd one will be delivered to the museum again will keep ya posted on date #2... but Im guessing I wont have Jim this time..... .. they did make sure I was happy in the deal and I am....
Thanks for all the IM's/posts of support.... I appreciate it.... even heard there was a few phone calls to them today on my behalf... thanks to you all... this forum is a special place for me..... Thank You !!!!!
Now if you can wait a little longer for my review I will give it to you when I get it.... but I will concur with alot of what Jim said... I did feel a substantial difference even with the stock exhaust in 2nd and 3rd gear in that car for the little I got on it.... shifting and steering is alot better... a great car..... any of you who are trading for it will not be disappointed.....

Wonderful to hear, but sorry you now have to endure the wait. I'm sure once you hear the exhaust note everything else will fade away.

I agree, the 2 to 3rd gear felt great...even going into reverse was different.
The 4 to 5 I didnt get hard into those gears other than the interstate driving I was doing.... (90%) of my drive home was 6th gear ... but I do remember a bit about the 08 I drove at the bash... its 4th seemed to be a little stouter... 5th it was hard to tell much.... but again I didnt have too much time in that particular car.... all around you can tell there is 35 HP there... alot more than I thought I would.... gives it a Z-feel for sure

Look at it this way:
You get to take delivery of TWO new Corvettes instead of just one.
How cool is that?
I know I was trying to think on the positive side with having to wait again but that is cool... I can say that I owned 2 08's this year... even if one was for only 4 days....
I know Tracey- she just wants what she ordered. I don't blame her. It's a lot of money, and we are very picky about getting them exactly right.
It probably doesn't help that I've talked to her a few more times this week and have told her how much I like the NPP in mine. I know it's s subjective thing, but I think this exhaust is worth every penny! Hell, we have factory "cut-outs" now from the factory, and bigger tips as well.
That's great news, Tracey - I'm glad it all worked out. Kudos to the folks at Les Stanford for doing the right thing. The positive press from doing so will far outweigh any costs they might incur in taking the car back and ordering you a new one.
Out of curiosity, will the replacement car be configured exactly as the one you originally ordered? Did you elect to make any changes to your original configuration?
