Default How often do you wash?

After seeing several threads about compulsive washing and polishing, I'd like a benchmark on how compulsive I have become about my new ride. How often do you wash your Corvette?

More like how often do I not wash! This car is my daily driver so keep that in mind.

I wash every other week and quick detail every other day but since my car is black and it's also been raining every f'ing day here I've had to step up my routine a notch.

I average about once per week, but have been known to wash twice per week if I had to park under a tree or something. It's actually kind of therapeutic.

Only when it needs it, which is about once every three weeks.

Everytime it is needed. Car is always covered when parked in the garage. Not a daily driver but taken out occassionally during the week and then events on some weekends.

I give it a real wash with soap and a hose about two times a year.

I use a wet rag and clean it two times a week, and do alot of Zaino.

Since I wash mine in a $1 do-it-yourself car wash with a wand, I wash mine about once every 5-7 days, except during the coldest 3 months of the year. During the winter, I wash it about once every 2 weeks. Dirt doesn't show much on Monterey Red.

Tinkering with the Vette is great therapy. Wahing, polishing, dusting, vacuuming whatever; all else leaves my mind when it is just me and the car.

DD, so I wash it every day it rains (which is about 3-5 times per week right now in Houston); normally 1-2 times per week...I use the California duster to dust it every evening if it is otherwise decently clean.

Had a lady stop me who's son had just bought a silver Z that week and the first thing she mentioned is that her son had already washed the car 3 times by Friday...

I think its a good looking car and we have a duty to keep them looking good for others to enjoy, or at leat that is how I jsutify it to people who think I am OCD...its not for me, its for everyone else, right?

Great question!! I was washing mine last night (real wash) and my neighbor came out and she told me that my washing habits were becoming a little excessive. (She was certainly joking, but I just think that she likes to come over and talk to me ever since I brought the vette home)

Mine isn't a daily driver, but I do drive it almost all weekend long as long as it isn't raining (I do know that natural rain drops will dissolve the 'vette completely like the wicked witch) and I have been washing it for real once a week usually on Thursday night getting her clean for the weekend and if I run her long on the weekend I like to give it a quick clean again before I put her to "bed" for the week.

Weekly and sometimes more often if it is raining. Of course my Z06 is my daily driver and it is Black.

My Wife's Mred gets washed about every other week but it spends more time in the garage.

In the warmer weather, about once a week, but I also polish it everytime I wash it. In the Winter, as soon as it is covered with salt

At minimum, once a week. It's my DD and it had been raining alot here in San Antone, so lately t's been a little more often. My record...so far...has been washing 3 days in a row. My neighbor thinks I'm crazy.

I only drive mine two or three times a week just for fun, so it gets dusty from sitting in the garage. I wash it once a week anyway, because I enjoy doing it.

Once a week for me as well. It usually needs it more often but I have to use a car wash to wash the car and the drive and cost and getting soneone to help makes it a little annoying.

My biggest problem is bugs on the bumper. If it weren't for the bugs I would probably only need it once every other week or so.

I wash mine about every 2 weeks. Or when I'm caught in the rain and it spots!

Me too, but I use the Car Duster and detailer in between. Generally, when the wheels are dusty it's time to wash.
