Picking up my new 2LT soon. Really wanted the NAV system but couldn't afford the 3LT upgrade plus the NAV option. Still want an in-dash NAV and am looking for ideas. Aftermarket? Can the factory NAV system be installed on the 2LT radio harness? Help please. And thanks in advance!

The plugs aren't the same. But if you aren't afraid to cut and splice some wires, you can put an OEM Nav in a 2LT car.
You can find this in the General Corvette Forum titled Audio and electronics. Most people like the Pioneer Z2, don’t know how much you want to spend, but this should get you started... Good luck!
You can go with an AVIC D3 for in dash, should fit right in there. I personally think they are way over priced for an in dash system and went with a Magellan so I can take it from car to car.

Actually, you made the right decision. The 2LT amp is setup to deliver stereo to the rear speakers. Add BA35 speakers to the doors and center dash (~$68 at Crutchfield with free shipping) and BA55 speakers to the rear enclosures (~$60 at Amazon) and you will have very nice sound with the stock amp. The 8-inch door speakers are OK and some hard core audio people think bass from paper cone speakers is cleaner than from synthetic cone speakers.
Add a good head unit like the Kenwood DNX7100 ($1088 from Amazon) and you should be happy. This is not difficult and the Kenwood uses Garmin navigation which is as good as it gets.
Enjoy the new car.
I am doing the same to my 2008 - Museum Delivery in a week. I purchased a 2LT because (i) I did not want the options that come with a 3LT (especially additional wiring in the seats and steering column) and (ii) thought it was foolish to spend $5000 just to get factory navigation. Instead, I am using this money and about $2000 more for: suspension and brake upgrades, sound proofing and navigation and a real leather interior. The options I did want (my garage looks like an auto parts store).
EDIT: You can also install HomeLink for less than $100 if you want this feature.
BTW, we should start a navigation install club/support group because many people will be doing the same.
