I am considering buying a used '05 with around 10,000 miles. The car looks in great shape but in checking the service/warranty history I learned that the radiator was replaced at 1700 miles. Is radiator failure a common problem with the C6? I know that is is with my BMW 7 series (plastic side tanks). Thanks
They might have damaged the radiator frame which protrudes below and in front of the bottom 3 piece plastic valance. This might have necessitated a new radiator?
There is no inherent problem with the radiator - sounds like the previous owner ran up onto a curb or something and damaged the radiator, thereby causing the replacement. The radiator really does sit that low. Shouldn't really be an issue. I assume that there is no other real "damage" to the car? It wasn't in a head-on collision or something? If not, then it should be fine.
