Just Got It!!
So here is the background, I work with my family (Wife, Mom, Dad, Brother) in our family business. I made a bet with my father about 6 weeks ago that if i sold a large project that he would buy me a new corvette. So the job sells an i give my dad a little bit of a hard time about it. NowI never and i mean Never expected my dad to fulfill this bet due to the cost associated, but low and behold today I get called into this meeting with all of them plus a family friend on the basis of being about insuarance. Well i get in there and they hand me a sheet of paper with a note that says go outside.
I go outside and there is a brand new 2007 C6 Convertible sitting in the middle of the drive. I about crapped my pants...well that is where the fun begins. I say ok very funny who's car, and they reply with yours if you can figure out the clues. So here are the clues:
The first is on the dash of the new C6 with the doors locked and top up.
1. Your sister has a name that starts with a letter we use in a department that you make sales...See someone in that department that has a name similar to your mom..
Answer.. K.....Linda....so i go see Linda and she tells me only 3 words...
2. Its in progress
Answer....The work in progress files...(took me about 5 minutes) and there i find this clue
3. The name begins like your moms and ends like your moms but isnt your mom..
Answer...Lorraine....so i go to her and get
3. It will be out in a minute......A good 10 minutes later....the printer in their department is slow so i go to it and find....
4. The name is only one letter off of one of your managers, go see that person.....
Answer....Well i have 5 managers that report to me.....finally after about 5 minutes i figure out it is the last names....and i go to Darcie....
6. Darcie says "It will help you find yourself when lost.......
Answer....Map Books....so i search through 12 counties worth of map books and find the next clue......
7. This person says her computer is always slow, you say it is operator error go see...
Answer..Tammy...just doesnt know how to use a computer...she say your next clue is where you would find this particular PAID invoice....now i have 3 accouting people and hate dealing with $$$ but luckily for me she winked and nodded in the direction i needed to head.....Found clue #8
anyways you guys get the idea, 12 clues later and 45 minutes later i was rewarded with the FOB hidden behind a picture my late grandfather painted of Jesus....You know they say the lord giveth and.......Well i dont want to repeat the last part.
So I received my 2007 Victory Red Convertible C6.
Z51, 3LT, HUD...All the things a man could ever want.
I am besides myself and virtually in tears as i hug my father.
So now after 134 miles of fun, however, with no navigation disc because the dealer "forgot" it I am on cloud 9.
