whats with the waves. I know there is a harley (biker) wave, is it something along those lines..

I think it goes back more than 40 years, or even to the first Vettes in the '50s. Corvette drivers have the same 'rule' as the Harley guys, that you should wave when seeing each other on the road.

There are even a lot of Harley riders that will wave at a fellow motorcycle rider when they meet them - regardless of what brand.
Harley riders are great people!
