Squeaky 2007 Coupe Top
Hi,
I have a 2007 coupe which is my daily driver. I purchased it in December 2006 and it sat in the garage while I tried to wait out the rainy season. I have noticed over the last few months a tendency for 'something' in the coupe top to squeak. It is extremely noticeable when the car is hot-soaked...out in the parking lot for 8-10 hr. in the Texas sun. This is making me crazy, since I otherwise just love this car.
Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? [Yes..I did look on the FAQ for squeaks and rattles and don't see this problem].
Any suggestions will be MOST appreciated!

There are a lot of people out there with the same problem. Try coating the weather stripping with some silicone grease (dielectric grease good). You can also put some heat-shrink tubing on the top pins. Self stick felt pieces in various places....

At least they will know which ones are all original 30 years from now at Barrett Jackson...those with quiet roofs will obviously be altered instead of factory original!
