I've taken more luggage in the Vette than my E36 and several other cars as well. The C6 is a hauler and a tremendously utilitarian vehicle. You can put a soft suitcase - 38in - into the hatch with no problem.

From the floor of the cargo deck to the bottom of the cargo cover is 10.5". At the center from the edge of the cargo cover to the back of the deck is 27" and at its widest just behind the seats under the luggage cover is 42" wide in between the wheel wells and 60" aft of the wheel wells (only for about 10")

We went on a vacation through Arkansas recently and had three over-sized soft-sided duffle bags (one was a briefcase with a laptop). The three fit easily underneath the cargo cover arranged transversely end to tend. When the road got nice (Talamina Trail), we stowed the roof. By re-arranging the bags so they were snugged-up side by side longitudinally, all three fit under the roof panel which was also neatly under the cargo cover. Very cool.
