From your first post on this forum, it appears you have an 07 C6 with automatic tranny. What is the c6r of which you speak? That's the designation for the C6R race Corvette.
A tune up may or may not make your car faster, but you don't have to have a tune up unless you're going to the track with it.

Sorry, but I would not know since the C6r Vettes are very rare and can be found only on very expensive and well maintained roads, with highly skilled chauffeurs earning millions of dollars every year.
A tune up involves replacing the sparkplugs, points, and condenser, setting the timing, plus maybe giving the carburetor a tweak. Usually done every 10 or 12 thousand miles on cars made prior to the 1970s. The modern equivalent would be done at approximately 100,000 miles. That's because modern plugs are platinum, and unleaded gas is burned. The ignition is controlled by computer instead of mechanical points. And modern cars use fuel injection instead of carburetors.
Uh, Eric... I know a guy who is twice (maybe three times...) as old as you, and he's Asian. He's had Corvettes for years. Sorry, you aren't the first Asian to own a Corvette... (from your profile!)
And if you don't know much about cars, how come you "own all ricers on the street," and you are a "Mustang Killer."
No offense, buddy. But if you want to enter the forum, no
Setting that aside, if you really have C6, welcome to the fold!

It's obvious he meant C6 Corvette. He obviously doesn't have a C6R. In response to your question... if you get a stock (un-modded coupe) tuned you gain maybe about 10 hp rwhp (rear wheel hp "at the wheels") and supposibly it will handle better.
