Oh, this is so cute. Someone must have met up with a new car salesperson. This is so typical of what the industry is begining to see as potential car buyers shop on the internet.
Asking for an appointment is simply good sales practice - though maybe in this instance not the most subtle technique. I actually applaud the saleperson's approach. Of course, some of you have seen right through it and I've long believed that if one begins to sense they are actually being "sold" something, they will resist.
Despite my dislike for Chevrolet dealers - or any other high-volume domestic car dealership - I can't fault this salesperson's attempt. They are simply trying to make a living at a very competitive and difficult business and sometimes you big-spending Corvette guys just sort of meld into the ethernet of the average "Joe" who buys a Silverado or a Cobalt.
