To the Corvette. Bought an '07 Machine Silver w/5500 miles. No thrills, but this is the way I like'm.
I turned wrench for almost 25 years and owned my shop for the last ten. I've since hung up wrench for a living and push a pencil for a living. I've done cars from the ground up and have been into FI performance almost from the start. I didn't deal with the factory stuff at the beginning because it was so limited. This caused me to direct my learning to the very early Holley TBI systems and then the more advanced Speed Pro/FAST EFI and then the Accel Gen7 +. So dealing with the factory system will be fairly new to me, somewhat.
My background has always been GM cars. Mostly '70's Camaro's and 85/87 G-Bodies. It was these cars that led to the aftermarket EFI kits.
Then recently I ventured to the dark side. Mostly because GM just didn't have anything in a rwd that floated my boat. I tried an 05 GTO but I couldn't get past the Cavalier looks and small wheel wells etc.
That led to me dark side........ I bought an 2005 Mustang GT
My heavily modded '05 Mustang GT had suspension mods, to include a Watts Link, bigger 14" brakes and a Saleen Blower boosting 9 lbs and 459 HP at the wheels. I do my own work, and yes, it is faster than my vette, and would just out handle the vette, but only after all these mods.
But it still wasn't a Corvette so.........
Now I'm just another older guy driving a vette. Let the modding begin.

Congrats! Welcome to the brotherhood... Mustangs and Corvettes? Apples and Oranges!
Congratulations on the '07. I believe you meant to say "No Frills" If you have "no thrills" then there is something wrong. Enjoy the new ride. Here's to many miles of smiles.
