Who wants to discuss extended warranties? Are they worthwhile?
Worth the expense?::

YES AND YES,as long as you go with GMPP.Find DENNIS FICHTNER as he has the best prices I've seen.Unless you're going to do a supercharger or something radical like that.

Depends. How long are you really going to keep the car. If more than the factory warranty, that is one thing to consider. Also consider this:

I had the GMPP warranty on my C5 when I had it. The drivers side power window motor started making a clicking noise. Took it to my local dealer. They claimed to have fixed it, and this was under the GMPP warranty. Brought it home and it had a different noise. Being that it was clear they half-assed the repair, I took it apart myself only to find out that their fix was to zip strip the binding cable to part of the door frame in order to make the noise go away. The binding cable would quickly unbind and slap into the door insides thus making the noise. Natually, I was pissed and took it back. Their explanation on why they did this was because the GMPP warranty has to have approvals before they are allowed to do certain things. Things such as replace the entire motor assembly vs just zip stripping it. I was flat out told that if it was still under full factory warranty, it would have just been replaced but in GMPP land they were told that the zip strip was good enough.

Granted, I took it to a different dealer, told them my story, they saw it for themselves, and fixed it right but regardless, the first dealer was serious about why they fixed it the way they did.
