Default Windshield wiper question

I hope i am just doing something wrong and that its not a faulty problem with my wipers. I just picked up the car last week. I couldnt figure out how to raise the wipers. I called Carl @ boardwalk and he told me that i had to raise the hood in order to raise the wipers. I did that, and it works fine, for the driver side. The passenger side wont seem to pull up. It is blocked at the pivot area. Am i doing something wrong and is there another way to do this? I couldnt find anything in the manual. But personally, it already seems bad to have to lift the hood just to be able to clean the area under the wipers when you're washing the car. Anyhow, can anyone tell me how to lift the wipers on the passenger side? Or does it not lift? or do i have a faulty wiper? Thanks.

Nothing wrong, I believe that's the way it is - if not, then we both have the same problem

I have a 2007 Coupe and can raise the wipers (both) enough to clean the windows underneath.

I think what you're asking is whether or not it's possible to lift the passenger side wiper into a fully upright, 90 degree position like you can with the driver side blade. Unfortunately, no it isn't even with the hood open. That's just the way these cars were designed...

Passenger's side is different than the driver's side.

And then you'll find some owners wished that neither wiper arm could be raised to upright ... after forgetting and dropping the hood on one!!!

I checked some of our other cars that we have in stock here and all of them do that.

Yes, I got the windshield wiper option on mine, so I drive mine in the rain.
