Shrug, the ashtray has never fallen down in my 08. ..but I hardly ever use it either (used it for about 2 weeks for my radar detector before I got it wired to the rear view mirror power).

 

Nope. The ergonomics still suck. It is still too small, still doesn't have a light in it, and the ash receiver and lighter should be reversed so the stick isn't directly in the way when you try to use it.

 

I remember this one time...at band camp...

My 2008 Ashtray is much better than my 07's, which would stick all the time.

I have not had a problem with mine (knock on wood)....I use it to put coins and paper money in. As someone said, coins can fall down so the design is not great for that, but I just put a few coins in it and the paper loot on top of that. It works fine for me as a money tray. If I were to pack it full of change like I do on some of my other whips then I can see change falling down into the abyss.
