2008 jetstream blue

lots of bad and some good comments on the new color
how boring would it be if everyone had a Red Vette?
I haven't seen it up close - but I'm glad that Chevy finally offered a lighter color then the Dark Blue!

You like LMB better? Great, buy an 05 to 07 or pony up the bucks and have the 08 painted LMB... Frankly, as nice as the LMB was, it is time for a change. It's posts like this that make me ashamed to be a corvette owner - bashing other vettes due to their color, how stupid. JSB haters are, IMO, mostly fair weather corvette fans... Some of you don't "get it" - it's a vette and that's what is important.

my post was stating that I was disappointed that I wouldn't be buying an 08 because they don't have a color I want now. you are getting a little too butt hurt over someone not liking a color.
you like it buy it, I don't I won't. period. everyone is entitled to their opinions, there are a lot of people who make me ashamed of being a vette owner sometimes, but it certainly isn't the ones who have color likes and dislikes.
before you have a heart attack and die over someone not liking a color. If you like it then go buy it, and when I see you driving down the road I will look at the car and say well it wasn't my first color choice, but I'll throw you a wave anyway, because after all it IS a vette.
As to the people who make me ashamed - not specifically picking on this thread, but the number of references to the new blue and the fact the owner must be female or a male homosexual is not small, but perhaps the mental capacity of these particular formus memers is.... These sorts of comments are amazingly immature. Again, these references border on member-to-member harassment... I don't personally feel attacked, I just see the whole thing as a sign of some people's limited: maturity, emotional status, and capacity to accept different ideas.

In all seriousness, I for one could NEVER buy a typical red corvette - too ordinary and predictable for me... But like you said, it is a vette and they deserve a wave.

Hurt? Not really.... More like annoyed at all of the threads surrounding the change in blue color. This post was not directed at you per se, more the responses that result from the "I don't like a new color" topics. I do not own a JSB (yet), but these sorts of threads are non productive and frankly, now that we have owners of JSB vettes, could be construed as slams against other forum member cars. That starts pushing the line over which threads get locked and people banned. It would be no different than me starting a thread about how (insert insulting statement here) the color (insert common vette color like red or white) si on a vette... It just serves little productive purpose. And frankly, threads like these are nothing more than whining about change. I know that comes across as harsh but it's true.
Bingo, I think we can both agree on the first part...

No offense taken, I'll likely buy a LMB now since I had planned on replacing the motor with something a little bigger anyway.
that is unless gm brings EB back next year

hmmmmmmmm but a discontinued Tbird..............
I saw it a second time at another dealer and couldn't believe I didn't like it the first time. The car was driven around the lot by a salesman and it looked incredible with the light dancing off of it and all these different shades popping out. He pulled it up next to my PR coupe and I thought the color looked great.
Everyone who saw the car was whistling and commenting how great the JSB coupe looked. I was sold and ordered one.
You really need to see this color in person on a sunny day to appreciate it. It is amazing.
