I do not understand why so much interest in a all black 4LT. Does everyone understand that the colors flow around the cabin when the doors are shut. It shows a pattern that includes the dash. The dash does look strange
when looked at with the doors open. If all black it would not hardly show up. Their is nothing magic about leather holding up better than the current covering. If and when black is offered I dont think it would be a wise expense.
Just my personal opinion, but I don't see the two current 4LT colors fitting many of the exterior offerings. For example, I can't see either working with my VY. Again, just my opinion.
However, the ebony leather (?) offered with 4LT looks higher quality than the ebony mystery material I have now. Give me an all ebony (or black) 4LT and I might have interest. Or, maybe there are other two-tone color opportunities.
Yeah, in looking at the two color choices it's just not too appealing. I was looking at a crystal red & I don't think either choice goes well with that color. I'm one that would like an all ebony interior with a higher grade of leather ala the 4LT.
The main reason would be over the choice of colors currently offered. The Sienna and Linen treatments are somewhat restrictive to which exterior colors that they work with. The rest comes down to personal taste. I too would like to see the 4LT in an all black configuration, barring of course a couple of other colors thrown in to the mix that allow for a few more choices for all of the exterior colors available. The Sienna wrap with a AO car is fantastic. The linen on the other hand in off white while able to contrast with a few more of the exterior colors is too light for my taste. I like it in pictures and it works with the Yellow, the CR and the JSB but this still leaves victory red, machine silver and Arctic white in the lurch. Black would look good with the Sienna if you could get past the basketball/halloween jokes.
This was all black with red stitching. Most corvettes have a black(ebony) interior.
I like that! Still, I would choose red leather--all over with the 4LT, with my black Z06 if anyone would like to buy me one. Otherwise, black is the most popular color for leather seats I read in SCI a few months ago. I think it is the richest looking. But in hell, Orlando or Houston, I would go for a lighter color. In the cool New England or mountain states, it's great!

That right there is the color scheme I would want with the 4LT.
GM would be wise to offer the 4LT leather in all black with an array of contrast stitching colors available.
Leather should be the color of a baseball glove or saddle. In other words, just natural tanned leather. The only reason to dye it is to hide defects in the leather.

Unless you don't want the interior of your car to look like a baseball glove.

Thanks shopdog. I thot I was the only one. I think when 4 LT gets going it is going to be very popular . I like the seinna because it looks somewhat natural in the pictures. I had a friend 35 years ago , he had a 5 yr old Tbird with completely white leather. It had so many cracks in it it looked like a white mummy. I am shooting for a 4LT but I would be very concerned if my car was not a garage queen. Look at the leather in the bottom of the 3LT seat after only a few months.
