reminds me when i first got my 07. no you're not, it was deleted. dealer send me the handle but i don't want to drill a hole coz in the long run it may not be strong enough after many times of pulling down
That settles it, I'm keeping my hatch pull down handled, locking console boxed, underhood lighted, separate from fob emergency keyed, smaller gloveboxed 2006!

Well it is a pretty dumb way to close the hatch, can You imagine what would happen to your hand if you didn't get it out of the way in time before the hatch slammed down
Oh, cool. Maybe this will - in 30 years - become as rare as the radio delete plate in the C1 Corvettes that go through Barrett-Jackson.
Maybe I should remove the pull handle from my C6 and put it in a vault somewhere for safekeeping?
Hah! Few of us are going to live long enough to see the gain from this. And if there is any gain 60 years from now it will likely go to a slack-jawed distant relative who contested the will and then donates the money to the "The Foundation for the Study of Displacement on Demand" six cylinder engines.

I'm sure you are right. I mean, after all, how many cheap puke C1 owners were embarrased by the radio-delete plate and installed a Muntz 4-track stereo or 45-RPM record player to compensate?
I dunno. I'm thinking this, increasingly rare, plastic handle on the inside of the decklid may be the next BIG Thing to look for in determining the rarity of a given Corvette. Think about it, there are no more L88 or L89 packages available anymore. They don't make those big gas tanks they put in the Sting Rays that seem to be so desirable.
Yes, it may be a long time before I realize any significant value in my "deck-handle equipped" C6, but I already had to have my young daughter co-sign for me on the loan - due to my advanced age - to the point of agreeing to put me on life-support systems until the final payment was made. I think that ought to keep me around long enough to realize some gain as a result of my uncanny timing in securing a C6 with pull handle, but with the non-locking center console.
I'm sure the Bloomington Gold people are already scratching their heads over this one.
