you are not alone.... there is another forum member who is really upset about it... I don't really care..to be honest if I want to look at an 08 I would go to the dealer and look....but thats just me apparently
Yeah, pretty damn aggravating when GM can't put the '08 Vette on their site, especially since they've been out almost 3 months. Ya gotta go someplace else to build your Vette. I was told by the dealer that they are not able to show their '08 Vette inventory on their web site 'till GM gets it on theirs?
They are always really slow in updating the site, you might have to wait a while. That is my experience with most companies though (when it comes to their websites).
Traditionally, GM lags in updating the site until the remaining cars from the previous year start moving out. If you were Joe Customer, and looked on the site and wanted an '08, then you got to the lot and all they had were 20 '07s and maybe a couple of '08s, you'd probably say GM is marketing something that they don't stock. GM makes their money in sales to the dealers, and the dealers won't order '08s in volume until they clear out their '07s. So as long as dealers aren't ordering, GM isn't making money. So maybe GM doesn't want to hype the '08s too much just yet, so all the suckers will go out and get '07s for basically the same cost as an '08.
disclaimer:I don't mean to imply that buyers of '07s are suckers, just the ones that buy a previous years model w/out getting a SIGNIFICANT % off sticker compared to the new MY.
