Cat Back ???

Cat Back ???

What does cat-back exhaust mean ? I also see Flowmaster has the axle-back exhaust. What's the difference ?

cat back simply means a complete exhaust system connecting to the back of your catalytic converters and ending at the tips. Axle back is exactly as it sounds.

First thing I say after opening my garage door is: "Cat back." I can't keep them off the Corvette.

But many of the Vendors advertise an axle back as a cat back and charge extra for the X pipe.

The vendor of your choice probably has both depending on if you choose the optional X pipe or leave the H pipe intact and just add the muffling ( spelling? ) section.
