My 08' sticker reads 16/27 versus 18/28 for my 05' and the sticker states the 16/27 is due to the New EPA ratings. That said, 36HP more has got to add in there somewhere!

400 HP economy car
Just took a long 4 day week end trip between Tampa & Atlanta in our 07 A6.........28.6 MPG!!!!! ( Did the same trip 3 months ago & got 25.3 MPG. ) Have added a Vararam CAI since first trip....very responsive. Had no construction delays on I-75, cruising with traffic @ 80 -85. Every once in a while would bump up to 90+ when passing slower traffic! Ouside temp was 97 to 103....inside a comfy 70 to 72. SWEET

Just finished a trip across the country in my '08 A6 Z51. After the break-in period I reset my mpg. From Albuquerque to central California I averaged 29.3 mpg. That's driving around 75 with the A/C on (it was 100+ outside the entire trip).

Phewww! I'm glad I got my 06 before they charged the rules. I would hate to have to use more gas just because some bureaucrat went wild with the rating standards.

I just traded in my 03 Accord V6, averaging about 21 MPG, to my 08 MN6 Coupe. However I'm not getting anywhere near 22 MPG, maybe its my driving style as i'm averaging about 16MPG mostly in traffic.
