I traded my 2004 Spiral Grey coupe for a 2005 AW coupe and have never regretted it one time. I think you will be disappointed at the trade-in value of a 2004, though.

You got that right... I walked out when they tried explaining why my '04 with less than 24,000 miles was really $7,000 less than the wholesale price on THEIR KBB printout! In the office they magically came up $4,000 before I got up to leave... as I was getting into my car they came up another $1400. The crazy part was I didn't even aske them to come down on the selling price, just give me what is fair for mine. I left a frustrated salesman and THREE managers in the dust; the way I figure it is if there were fewer people sharing the commission on this thing I'd be driving a C6 right now.
So where did they come in at on your C5 and where were they on the C6?
When I left they were at $27K on mine and $38 for the C6, which really isn't bad (the C6) -- the car is loaded -- Heads up, suspension package, chrome wheels, heated seats, electronic mirrors, etc., etc., etc.
You made the right move. They were definately too high on the 2005. For the 04 coupe, honestly I don't think they were that far off for trade value. In 2004 you could buy a 1sb optioned car for $37.5k brand new so figure for 4 years depreciation.
I know, but the last couple of times I tried selling on my own it was a real pain. And this is Southern California, you meet some real scam artists out here when trying to sell big ticket items. I'm willing to take the hit as long as they're playing fair.
