Wow, 20,000 posts......

The forum allows us to celebrate post counts for 24 hours in 10,000 post increments so this is mine.
What a great several years it has been. As you can imagine, I love this place and love to help Corvette owners when I can. I have learned so much more here than I could ever give back so I just keep trying.
The C6 is my third Corvette and while each new model year cars (1984, 1997 and now 2005) they have all been fantastic for me and more importantly really quite problem free in comparison to other vehicles I've owned.
You've all already seen that I am a supporter of Team Corvette and this wonderful machine that they have engineered for us. I am a defender of the Bowling Green Assembly plant and their efforts to provide us with this exceptional automobile. I have been fortunate as I have made many friends and contacts over the years within the Corvette organization and the National Corvette Museum. I am a life member of the museum and an appointed ambassador and yes, this forum stuff spills over into my real life as well.
I'll be at the NCM and the plant next week. Most important to me are the friends that I have made over the years all due to this car that I love so much. Well, enough of this drivel. If you made it this far, thanks for reading. To my friends in OT, yes I'm still pretty much a newbie compared to some.
To the mods and administrators, thanks for giving me this great place to come to so often. Now back to your regularly scheduled threads.
Paul
Here's a question:
My CR 08 was invoiced & shipped on Monday. It arrived yesterday. If I provide a VIN, is there someone who can give mea born on date?

I don't think I will ever get to 1000 post.
See you next Saturday in Bowling Green.
I am at Carlisle now. We left the show about noon time today, it was just too hot and humid (the humidity is the killer). Yesterday was a little cooler and no where near as crowded and we saw most of what we wanted then.
There was a burn out competition yesterday (that I did not attend). When we went by the GM tent this morning there was a silver Z06 with a missing right rear fender and black tire marks on the passengers door and rear facia. Sign on the car indicated it won the burn out competition and was owned by Wil Cooksey. I didn't think to take a photo while I was there but I am sure someone will post one. I was speaking with Tom Hill and he told me that Wil drove if back to the tent from the competition area on the run flats with all of the steel cords sticking out.

John
In the short time I've been here, you've proven to be a kind, generous, reliable person who treats everyone with respect. It's folks like you that are the reason this forum is so enjoyable.
Here's to the next 20k!

Congratulations on always growing learning and imparting the same to others!
I've always enjoyed reading your posts, they are very informative and you seem like a true Vette nut, just like me! Hopefully we'll meet up in real life someday! (perhaps at Carlisle one year, as I definitely plan to attend it someday!)
Thanks so much for all you've done for the forum, the members and our passion for Corvettes!
Kind regards--

John looking very forward to seeing you. It looks like the weather in BG is going to be great. See you on Saturday....just ring my cell. Here is Wil's car. He literally melted the tires off of it. The carcas of the tire ripped the quarter panel off.

I just love doing this stuff and I am a certifiable Corvette nut. I can't wait to see photos of your new Z06.

With you of course being one of the 124 ahead of me.
I'll try to do better.
p.s. You coming down to the NCM for Labor Day?
A lot to learn here and I always hope that I have something to offer and give back.

It has been a pleasure. I hope we do get to hook up one day. My wife and I are moving to Bowling Green so you'll need to come to Mecca and visit us.
