the RPI rear bumber letters. I received a set as a gift and ran into a lot of problems with the install. It seemd that although the set was labled correctly (C6) the letters themselves did not fit my car.
I got the "C" on the car, then ran into troubles. The "O" was not formed correctly to fit my bumper, nor was the "R" or either of the "E"s. Naturaly that set was ruined by then. They looked like they would be used on a C5 not a C6. If you compare the 2 rear ends you will see what I mean.
Did I get a bad set? A mislabled set? I assume that there is no cutting/trimming to be done to use these so any help would be welcome as I still am interested in thses, but before I get another set I want to get a good idea of what went wrong the first time.
They should fit perfectly. I have 2 sets (dash and rear) from RPI. I assume you're talking about the "ultra chrome" kind. If possible, check to make sure your benefactor got what was ordered. If not, I'm sure RPI will take care of you. If so, then live and learn . . . they're on sale right now, BTW.
I was the one who received them as a gift. I assume they were ordered correctly as all the packaging said "C6" on it, so a packaging mistake seems the likely reason.
Will be ordering a set myself as I really like the look on the car
