I just ordered my second 08. The first one the dealer screwed up on. Then they located one with the right options and were going to do a trade problem was it had a door flaw that had to be wet sanded out so I passed on that one. Does anybody know if a priority 1 # on the order means anything? I am hoping it will speed up my production.
Personally I wouldn't have passed on the perfect car just because of a minor paint problem. Usually the dealer fixes these kind of things before they are shown to the buyer (and without telling the buyer). Surprised they didn't fix it during dealer prep...

Sending a vehicle back for a minor paint flaw?
If I did this for every car I've looked at or purchased I'd never have a car.
Its your money and only you can determine what is acceptable. That is the reason dealers do minimal work on the PDI as some will look the other way as they are over the moon to have a vette and could car less.
If it had to be repainted, no way you should take it. But if wet sanding did it, that means its in the clear and that wont affect it long term in an area like a door. You can consider having them just wet sand it and take a look. If its not spot on, but if it takes care of it then its more a finish problem then a paint flaw and should be OK.
I have been tolk the priority codes matter, but its more a question of their allocations and if they have one. They can ask for priority but if they dont have an allocation at that time you go nowhere. Have them show you their weekly allocations.
