It shows a an actual chicklet being applied to a z06 at the GM assembly plant. The magic happens at 3.55 minutes into the video.
We took them off- the car is only a day old with us- supposedly built 12/3 but the door says 11/07 so dunno when it was built but they weren't on there too tight..
It was a 2 person job though- The floss wouldn't budge the adhesive and kept breaking until I put tension on the emblem with my fingernails and my dad "sawed" with the floss. Cut like butter then. A few bloody fingernails later they were off and I rubbed the majority of the adhesive off with my thumb...
Pretty funny that they have an arrow on the adhesive so they are installed right side up.

one of the first things I did to my C6, it is just a much cleaner look. it stands out too much on a dark color IMO
GM used similar badges in the 70's on lots of regular cars and if they wanted another badge on a Corvette it should have been the Corvette flags or an emblem that reads Corvette. I dont like them at all.
