Default Center console question

After putting my center console back in after completing my bluetooth install, I notice that if I push around where the traction control switch is, the console will move down, the other side of the console does not move down like that. Just wondering if this is just the design or maybe I missed something?

Comon, 48 views and not one person can touch their console where I indicated and let me know if theres does the same thing? You afraid of getting fingerprints on it?

Comon, help a fellow out.

Mine does not give. I removed mine and installed a new, painted console. So, i had an opportunity to screw it up, but did not. I suggest that perhaps you did not get it snapped in, in all of the right places.

I also installed the Parrott. The console does not give. Suggest you loosen it back up, seat it properly and tighten down the screws.
If I remember correctly, isn't there foam padding that needs to be seated correctly before the console will fit tightly?

so you are telling me when you press down around the traction control switch that it doesn't move down a bit? The right side in the back doesn't really move, but the left side near the switch definately will press down a bit. Mind you I need to push on it, its not like it just falls down. maybe I missed a spot, not sure. sure would hat to have to pull it up again.

So I went and pressed down again, it seems that the part that is actually moving down is the front of the armrest plastic that centerconsole connects to. The centerconsole sits on top of that plastic and that whole plastic moves down a bit.

i would check to see if you have your electrical lines/connectors are in the clear, might have them pinched, then check to see if two screws under little snap panal are tight

How about this. Did it move before you took it apart? As pointed out it sounds like you didn't get something snapped into place or have a wire pinched somewhere.

I don't now, I didn't really check before I took it apart. I checked the two screws, they are tight. Its the actual panel that the center console is screwing into that is moving down. The that that those two screws in the back screw into. I never removed that part so I guess thats the way its supposed to be
