Default squeek update

I just noticed yesterday that my roof squeeks when it is not attached to the body. It seems internal. The recall was done, but I'm wondering if it was done correctly!
Any comments?
Thanks

Funny thing...when I removed the top and went to put it in the back, it made the same sound that is does while driving so it must not be in the joints. Maybe I should ask GM for a new roof since it is still under warranty?

Was your roof panel showing any sign of delamination when they did the foam fix on it? They were supposed to use a feeler gauge to determine the amount of separation. If in fact it was and they foamed it without proper clamping it could account for what you are experiencing right now. If you take it back and they determine that the panel is in fact lifted off the frame they will order you a new roof.

Thanks Talon. That makes the most sense. I am taking her in for inspection and I will have them look more closely at the roof. Since I purchased from a private owner and was assured that the recall was taken care of, I do believe that it could have been handled incorrectly.

Thanks for the advice.

I took mine in for the inspection/repair. I did have some minor separation --- my Dealer said that there was no fixing to be done.
He said that, with any hint of separation, the recall notice said the roof should be replaced.

I was surprised (but very pleased) because lots of others have had theirs repaired apparently after experiencing separation --- and had problems. My Dealer has always gone the extra mile to look out for me as a Customer/Owner.

Based on comments received last week, roof replacement is the preferred route.
