i got a flat today and the tire shop says no fixy buy new tire. is this right? the tires (supercars) have 5800 mile on them should i buy just 1 or should i buy 2 of the firestones? does any one have any input on the wide ovals?
Just interested, do you know what caused the flat? Im always trying to compare the stock wheels w/ run flats I have kept v.s. the bfg kdw(non runflat) I have on my car with diff. wheels. I would do either of what you suggested. If you havent been burning out buy one. If the tread is worn buy the firestones.
the cause is/was a big hole. i did get a tire shop to plug it to get me home but i will replace it. i have done a few smokies so maybe the ovals. does any one have any thing to say about the wide ovals?

If you switch 1 tire to a different type you MUST switch all 4 tires to the same brand and type. This is a high performance sports car and you should not risk it. You've got to pay to play.

Find your warantee. I had a flat, nail through the sidewall. Goodyear replaced for $0.00. Time and mileage may vary.
Whoaaaaaa there, partner.
Go to your owner's manual, inside you'll find Goodyear's seperate warranty sheet. Be SURE to take it with you to the Goodyear dealer or they probably won't know WTH you're talking about, OK?
Good luck.
Methinks you've a *new* tire coming at no cost to you.
