Default Window Valet Help Please

I just received my Window Valet for my 07 C6 (Model WV-110 in case it matters). Instructions say Window Valet for C6, so I think it's the correct model.

Anyway, I plug it in and nothing happens. As a matter of fact I'm glad I left my windows down to start because once I got out of the car I couldn't unlock it with the remote and the door wouldn't open so I had to reach in and unplug the module. I tried pushing the lock button 3 times, as the instructions said, to raise the windows but nothing happens.

Any advice?

TIA

Paul

Make sure it is seated correctly, some 07's had a film on the ADSL connector that causes connection problems

I tried pulling it and reseating it a couple times but are there other ways to verify it's seated properly? I know it is doing somthing because once it's in, I can't unlock the doors.

I don't know the answer to you question but I can say that the window valet for the C6 is flakey. I had the window valet for my C5 and it worked flawlessly. The one I have for the C6 does weird things. For example, if I try to use the "vent window" function, it never works and I have to reindex my windows. I'm probably going to just sell mine. It's too bad about the window valet for the C6 after having such a good experience with the C5 version.

Well that's a bummer. I hate to hear that. I bought it only for the window up and down function. I couldn't figure out how I was going to manage getting it up on my trailer and then getting out. I figured I would be able to drive it up, leave windows down, crack the door open and, with the window down, squeeze out, then close the windows and lock it. No way I want to climb out through the hatch. I'm way too old for that

Same here, mine has been flawless for 3 years. I would contact Top Down instead of guessing...

I've heard the later 07's have had issues with the obdii connector and the window valet but that reseating it a few times takes care of it.

My window valet works flawlessly in my 07 (built 11/06). I would hate not having the functionality it provides.

I could not get the film off so that it worked relaibly. Could get it to work fine for a few days, then had to "break in" with the key. I am working the the company for solutions--he is very helpful. Have heard there is a new one with slightly larger prongs.
