Curious, does the cross member adapter fit the ATD-7325?

Thanks

This one will because it has a 1" center pin, but you will probably want to cut it down so that you can get a minimum length of 22" which is what is required for the preferred lift points in the front of the vette.: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-918008/

Here is what I did to the one I got from Northern Tools a couple of years ago. : http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1576374804-post14.html

Could be. Its definitely not a one hand operation but I don't find it to be hard to use. Takes a little more effort though to lift my Silverado. Overall, I like it a lot.

The main reason for using a cross beam adapter is to gain another 8 inches or so of lift. If that is not important, then just use a 2x4 on top of the floor jack lift pad. For me, I want to raise my car way up without opening the garage door and jockeying the cars and ramps around and then worrying about getting to the top without a spotter.

When I was searching for a low approach jack I had found the AC to be unacceptable in price. The reason was it is manufactured in Europe and the dollar being so weak vs the Euro made it cost 50% more....is this still the case?

I searched for the Omega and could not find one in my area.....another issue is these jacks are heavy so cost a bunch to ship them....

I took BJK's advice and bought the ATD-7325 extra low profile tuner jack. Spent some time doing some comparisons yesterday. Bottom line; seems to be a very well made, durable, safe, extra low profile jack that should satisfy my needs just fine.
If your interested, it's currently on sale for $247 w/free shipping.
- Minimum height of 1-1/3-inches
- Maximum height of 20-inches
- 41-1/4-inches in length, weighs-in at a little over 100 lbs.

There was another thread that provided a link to a Denmark site and the price for the AC jack was an astounding $800ish. When I got my Jack through Amazon it was $237 with free shipping. It is now $247

Yep....because it's manufactured there....it's a excellent jack but because of the dollar's weakness against the Euro currency makes it unacceptable (to me). This is exactly what I found back in beginning of last summer.

I was worried that the other jack had seal problems with it's hydrallic's. I had read that after approx year it would start leaking making it unacceptable in terms of saftey. I'm trying to search my computer to find where I put the info I found. Thanks for response. I'll post those reviews if I can find where I saved them. Tim

In my opinion, yes the ramps are a pain, especially when you have the original one piece Race Ramps. I found that it is also not as easy as one might think to get them lined up properly. I end up having to get in and out of the car to double check every thing. I'm a little **** as I had a problem with one of the roll up ramps (http://www.raceramps.com/roll-ups.aspx) where I got the wheel to far to one side and the edge of the ramp collapsed somewhat and left a big bulge/bubble on the edge. I contacted Race Ramp directly to find out what happened, not looking for any warranty issues, but just to let them know what had happened. I found out that they have a lifetime warranty. I sent the old one back and received a new one at no cost. Then there is the issue of having to slip the clutch to get to the top of the ramp and not killing the engine or giving it to much gas and over shooting the top.
I now use the 4" rollup ramps to give me more room for the jack if I have the adapter on it. I then lift the car in stages using a combination of jack stand, rollup ramps and either 8" or 12" wheel cribs, depending on what my needs are. I like the wheel cribs because you don't have to worry about the car rolling. I also like the fact that I never have to open the garage door. This keeps looky-loos at bay as well as the the sometimes extreme temps out of my heavily insulated and air conditioned/heated garage. It was 26* last night and 28* the night before.

I these pictures the preferred lift points are 24" from the floor and the bottom of the nose of the car is 30" up and I'm still not at full lift for the jack. I should also mention that I have the rear wheels on 8" Race Ramp wheel cribs.

one issue that I have with the ATD Jack from Amazon is that the wheels simply do not roll very good at all. They seem to get stuck with even the smallest particle of dirt under them.

Has anyone replace those with something better ? Is there any way to improve them ?

Northern Tool sells the Omega 29023 with a Blackhawk label for $279.99 + freight. It's made by ShinnFu North America and is identical to the Omega. It's the perfect floor jack for a C6 owner. Its only downside is its 125 lb weight, which added $75 to the cost for shipping.
