Funky Navigation Function.....
My 07 Nav unit is acting very strange ,,,, sometimes it will say no disc , disc installed is not nav disc , or please insert Nav DVD - Somtimes it will work fine then start freezing up , getting stuck on one map display , getting frozen at the menu screen...... ect ect - I hope its just the disc , but how would a disc suddenly go bad ???
Anyone else have this issue ? Any Ideas ??

If the disk is good (can you try another disk?), the likely culprit is the dvd reader. That will require a trip to the dealer to get a new head unit.

I had this happen in my other car. Try a 'lens cleaning' disc. About $7-$10 at Best Buy or such. Good luck!

Drive down to Atlantic Cith and see Kerbeck then. You can go gamble while they fix your ride

Stop crying and make an appointment with Performance Chevy in E.Meadow, NY
Vette service there it excellent, you can wait for your car across the street @ Panera Breads, they make an excellent cup of hot chocolate and it's wifi, you can bring your laptop there and shop for a sweaters on-line

That would be my suggestion as well. Cars aren't clean rooms, the read head does need to be cleaned from time to time.

BrooklynC6, were you able to resolve the NAV disc error problem? I'm having the same issue. Started with the version 3 disc, got the update last week and it happened again.
Don't want to go the dealer route, so I'd be interested to hear if you came up with a better solution.

Try the lens cleaning kit. If that doesn't work, I guess it may be a dealer visit coming. May also want to try a small can of compressed air. Spray inside DVD slot, you may see dust coming out as you spray.
Good Luck!
