I had a similar probem, picked up a screw in my left rear tire at 700 miles on the car. All the Goodyear places I called told me that it would have to be replaced and that it couldn't be patched.
I then called the local Corvette Dealer, where I didn't buy the car, and they said to be fixed properly, it needed a hot patch vulcanized inside the tire and they could do it and re-balance the tire for $60. I took it there and they took great care in lifting my car, removing the wheel and tire and also did a hi-speed load balance.
Its been perfect since. It seems that in this case, the dealer knew more than the Goodyear tire stores.

I didn't read all the replies (sorry if this is a duplicate) but you can patch an RF tire once, depending on where the hole is. Discount Tire patched mine for FREE simply because patching tires for free is a goodwill policy of theirs (plus a $5 kit of some sort that I gladly paid for), not because it had anything to do with the warrantee from GY. They were careful with the car and I'd go back to them for further tire needs... so their goodwill policy worked.
Most GY dealers are independently owned and operated so there will always be some variance but if you call their customer service line they will go out of their way to help you.
Not my Vette, but my wife has a BMW with run flats. Discount Tire has repaired her run flats twice. Both times for free! They did say if it is near the sidewall they may not be able to, but hers was not.
Just had my right front tire patched on Tuesday. No problems, 15 bucks and out the door. Local guy too, not the dealer. Back in the day, when run flats were new, no body would touch it, but now most good tire shops will
