Maintenance
Whats up guys, I recently set my sights onna C6 and trying to find the right one before I pull the trigger. I have been curious about how much maintence these cars require. Does the regular vette also have 20 brake pads? Are the tires rediculously expensive? How often do you change them and whats the cost(pads and tires)? Any insight will be appreciated.

My 2005 has had 4 oil changes which I did myself. I have the F55 suspension and had my dealer install ceramic brake pads. The only other times it has been to the dealer is for routine recalls and 2 times for dead battery. I have 12,600 miles so far. My has been very reliable so far. As for tires, I think most are getting between 20,000 to 25,000 on non super tires, less on some Z51 Equipped Corvettes. Hope this helps.

Yes, the tires are very expensive. 
No, there are not 20 pads, but they are easy to change and are not unusally expensive. I'm not sure what will be the case with the C6, but our C5 has been one of the most reliable cars we have had.
