Default Rear Spoiler

I am trying to decide between the LED Z06 spoiler and the LED standard spoiler from Southern Car Parts. I sort of like the sleekness of the standard spoiler vs. the raised Z06 spoiler.

Thoughts?

I thought the sleek, painted spoiler with the 44 LED's looked best. I got mine from Ecklers for about $199 painted. The Z06 "spoiler" looks like a small hump in the middle of the back deck IMO.

Thanks for the heads up, that is a better price than Southern.

...Kinda. I really had a tough decision between the two, plus I considered the full length spoiler, ala Ron Fellows Z06. I have seen the Z06 body colored spoiler on friends' base C6's, and they looked cool. But I wrestled with the "hump" thing...

I ended up with body colored, standard spoiler. I like it, but now wishing I had taken the plunge (and drilled the holes!!) for the full length spoiler.

Oh well, another mod down the road!

Bottom line, you can't go wrong either way. Just get rid of the stock black wart!

It is now $219.99 from Ecklers. Southern is showing a price reduction to $210. I am also going to order the tray and partition from them.

IMHO, the stock black plastic piece looks horrible on anything but a black car. From directly behind, the stock piece looks passable. But if you stand next to the car, it's just awful.

I was dead set on getting a painted Z06 spoiler, but after taking one final look at the Z06 part versus the painted standard spoiler, I ended up choosing the standard. It just looks cleaner and more integrated.

There's not much clean air getting to it on a convertible anyway, and I don't believe the Z06 spoiler would have created downforce at any speed.

I think a lot depends upon color, but I like the monochromatic effect with the LED

Well to add to my confusion I discovered that the Vette Shop is selling the color matched Z06 spoiler (no LEDs) for $109.00 with free shipping.

Almost 1/2 the cost of the LED spoilers.

I got a Corvette club discount from Ecklers. Sorry, that's why it turned out to be $199. I think it did list for @ $220. I didn't go with the brake lamp pulser though. I'm not going to screw with the wiring while it's under warranty. Now the intake, exhaust and tuning are another thing....

Thanks for the update on the price. I would not get the pulser option either.

I wish the full width racing spoiler had a wider 3rd LED.

How about this beauty... nothing says "look at me" like a 3' tall ironing board bolted to the back of your vette

That must come in handy for filling out the entry forms at car shows! Or maybe it's for tailgating?!
