Well, technically, it isn't over yet. People call the 08 a C6.5 but the body style hasn't changed and the engine and interior upgrades seem, to me, to be a normal procession in any cars generation.

The C4 lasted 13 years, C5 was 8. Who knows how long before the next generation.
Enjoy the car we have now, it's the best Corvette ever built.
In my opinion the C3 and C4 were not better that the C2. Who knows if the C7 will be better than the C6. Only time will tell.

It isn't over yet. The '08, contrary to popular belief is still a C6. There will be a 2009 C6 and a 2010 C6. The jury is still out on if there will be a 2011 C6.

If the 08 is a half a generation step wouldn't make it a C6? Everyone knows the 05-07 were nothing more than a C5.5. That's what all the magazines said when the 05 came out. Oh wait aren't they the ones that started all of this C6.5 also?
