Special Order Wait Time
How long did you guys wait for delivery from the time you put down your deposit till you got your car. The dealer is saying 8 weeks but I'm hoping it's less.

My dealer said 8 weeks but it only took 6 weeks to be delivered in Socal. Even if it may only take 6, it works out better for the dealer to say 8 just in case. There are also random cars that are held back after production for QC. No way to predict who's car it will be and that will delay delivery by a week or more I believe.

Mine took exactly 84 days (12 weeks). Be aware, though, that others' wait times have absolutely nothing to do with how long you'll wait. If your dealer has immediate allocation, you'll have your car in 5 - 6 weeks. If your dealer has to wait for allocation, your wait could be 6 weeks or 6 months. There's simply no way to tell without knowing when your dealer will get an allocation for your car.

The dealership is Jimmie Johnson Chevrolet which is owned by Rick Hendricks so I'm sure they have a good allocation.

that's about right, unless the day you order something goes on constraint, meaning it isn't available. it could be shorter, but remember they're trying to catch up for the two day strike.
I'd say you'll get it if you order today sometime around Thanksgiving.
And btw, I wouldn't "bet on their having an allocation", see Ken Fichtner's forum up front. ASK FOR THE INFO FROM THE DEALERSHIP. It has no correlation to Hendrick or Johnson necessarily.
