Default HomeLink

I have a C6 and for the life of me cannot get the HomeLink to program with my garage. I also have a Jeep with HomeLink and it works fine.
When the Vette was last in the Dealership I had them test it, they said the test said it was working. However I cant get it to accept the signal. Can anyone help with this? Thx!

Probably easier to just call their 1-800 number - they can walk you through it.

You my have to clear out the memory on the Homelink by holding the 1 & 3 button for 20 to 30 sec until the red light goes out. Then retrain the button by holding the remote with the button on the visor again until the light stops about 20 to 30 sec. Then you may have to press the learn code button on the operator depends on the age and brand of operator.

are you sure you have the homelink? GM came out with a cheaper version. Homelink has 1 LED and cheaper version 3 LEDs. How many LEDs do you have?

if you have the 3 button system use a small piece of wood to push and release all 3 buttons at the same time. i had trouble getting mine to work till i did that. if the buttons are not released exactly together it will not lock on. i spent 2 days with their tech people before i tried the piece of wood trick.

This 100% accurate. This is a much more advance and secure system then the old Homelink system. AND it is much more difficult to program. The above address will provide you with detailed instructions as well as an 800 number for a tech to walk you through it.

Some Older Garage door openers require a compatiabily module. You can also learn more about this at the above web site.

Let us know it goes for you.

Went to their Web and it did not say any thing about pressing all 3 bottons together. Is this to clear the codes or to work with the learn
botton. The last time I tried to program this it messed up my Home link controlers.:

OK, I have a Mild-to-Wild switch and I want to program it to operate with the visor buttons on my 08. How does that work, since as near I can tell the remote is neither rolling or DIP switch.

If you read the documents with the M2W and info on their web site the 3 LED visor unit will not be able to control the M2W.

M2W worked fine with homelink but not with car2u same problem with many gate openers and some older garage openers. I am working to come up with a fix

My o5 programed real easy. On my 08 had to order a conversion module from Car2u. Look in owners manual for thier 800 number. They will try to charge you I think $25.00 plus shipping. I told them i just bought a $55,000 car and it was equipted with their garage door opener and I should not have to pay for the conversion. They only charged me $10.00 for shipping. Hooked to garage opener and work fine. Real easy to hook up to.
