greetings ... this thread might be better in tech but it's not a major mechanical item so...
fluid changes --- are you doing "power flushes" for transmission; power steering; oil; etc. why/why not? my '05 has 38,000 miles driven for fun and to "save time" when i need to get in/out traffic. it's not babied; goes on serious vette runs but not a track car ( racers read "wimp"!) the "power flush" concept has my attention even if the book says some fluid changes may not be needed. opinions appreciated ... bob

I'm at 42k right now and drive in a great deal of stop and go traffic daily. I'm following the manual. I'll have the transmission (it's an auto) fluid and filter changed at 50K. Overall, I'm pretty much going to floow othe owners manual.
Fluid changes at recommended intervals are a good idea. The "Power Flush" is NOT. Many horror stories about the flush treatment stirring up debris that causes trouble. Just get a regular drain and fill. Better yet, do it yourself, so you know it was done right. The trans change can be a little messy when you drop the pan, but that's how memories are formed!

...and if it's a manual, the trans change is easy to do and not too messy.
