Dbs?
I tried to charge the battery, but no luck. I can't get the exterior lights to shut off.
According to your profile your Corvette is a 2007. In that case, it is not susceptible to DBS. If you're experiencing similar symptoms, the cause is elsewhere.
What a bummer.
I just washed it yesterday and put "Mother's" chrome polish on the mags, and the weather is great.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is required.
I thought all Chevy dealerships had Corvette certified mechanics.

DBS also affected 2006 A6's, but it was a different cause (obviously - no shifter in the A6). I know - 3 attacks, flatbed tows, new batteries, etc. A reflash was issued for this in late 2006 (December, I believe, since mine was done in January).
What does DBS look like? Well, it depends on the battery's charge when you get to it. If it's totally dead, nothing at all happens (duh). But, if there is a small charge on it, some things might work, many won't, and it appears as if the car is going crazy - dash goes nuts, lights won't work properly, etc.
I haven't heard of any 2007's having DBS, but you could have a power-draining problem like a bad door module, a bad BCM computer, or something else that is drawing on the battery. Make sure you aren't leaving things like a radar detector or cell phone plugged-in. Take the car to the dealer and have them check for a battery draw on the car. Make sure all the reflashes are in the computer.

They replaced the shifter assembly: control and ****.
It's nice to have my "ride" back.
