That's a neat idea! Does your switch work like a Mile 2 Wild? I sure like my Exhaust Commander. Probably cost a little more but a whole lot easier to install. Lots of options with the Commander too. www.sunsetorangecreations.com
Yep, pre-CBS blackface Twin Reverb foot switch lost it's silver switch. Now you know why your L-5 sounds like Scotty Moore's Super 400.

PS. Sorry for the highjack!
Yes Sir ... Appears to be the same Switchcraft switch they have made since the 50's...
(Unfortunatley China has copied that too)
Love Scotty, but my L5 and it's siblings......sound more like Johnny Smith.....And I use one of these new fangled Fender Hotrod amps...
very cool......same damn switch on the pedal though.....
But to the stay on point, Gary's solution seems just as simple as wireless...actually .. just more ANALOG.....

When I hit that switch with my left foot the reverb sounds just fabulous, when I want quite I just tap it again. I don't need no remote to fumble with, my eyes are on the road!
all the best!

I can see why some would choose the remote control exhaust systems,
but for me, I was thinking about this exact idea when I spotted the thread.
I need another remote control like a hole in the head, betweeen gate,
garage doors, lights.... Forget it.
Analog switch - simple - will NEVER break .....perfect for me.
