Default Need Help With Driving Modes

I'm looking for some more power/quickness with what I already have. What mode do most of you drive in. Would you and do you continually drive in "Comp" and if you do, what's the main thing that you have to be careful of?

Changing modes does not increase power. Depending on which mode you are in you do run a much bigger risk of "losing it".

Competitive driving mode turns off traction control by pushing the console button two times in 5 seconds. If you hold the button for 5 seconds straight you will turn off active handling AND traction control.

At this point you had ebtter be really sure of your abilities before doing any agressive driving. See "losing it" above.

Or maybe "finding it" as in finding a tree, light pole, or the vehicle in the next lane when the back end snaps out on you.

Right. Just wanted to know if anyone's driving in this mode primarily and if so, does it add a little more performance (not necessarly mega power).

I used to drive in with everything turned off.
Not any more.
I lost the car in an intersection, spun completely around. Didn’t hit anything and it didn’t really scare me (scared the hell out of my wife tho).
It did make me realize how powerful and how fast – in an instant – I can loose control.
I still turn it off in an empty parking lot, but not on the street.
I like to think I'm a good track day driver, have some FAST motorcycles.
My 2 ¢
... You guys want to drive a POWERFUL car?? Test drive a Mercedes Benz 55 AMG with the traction control off, talk about frying tires... Makes our cars seem tame.

Thanks Art. I know our vettes can get away from us if not careful, as many have attested. Again, I was just wondering if it added a little more punch, lighter feel, etc. since it's the next safest mode.

BTW, good looking vert.
