went from an 04 Z06 to an 08 Z51. performance wise, and from what i can tell on the street, i'd say its a toss-up. i've only had the 08 for about 6.5 weeks, and 3200 miles, and i can say i couldn't be happier. if someone asked me about my c5z06, i just might say, "...what z06?"
i'm still somewhat mesmerized by my c6. after 6 weeks of ownership, i still get up in the morning, get a cup of coffee, and go out in the garage, sit down and just stare at the thing. this is my 5th corvette, and i can't remember doing that with any previous car.
i just completed the j.d. powers initial, new car survey. to be honest, i couldn't find any negative issues associated the car other than a couple of very, very minor paint flaws, and a little orange peel. i gave my c6 an overall rating of 9 (out of 10). i came damn close to giving it a 10. it's damn near perfect!
it's definetely one step above a C5, and that says a lot, because the C5 is still one hell of a car!

Still have my Red Metalic Targa '99. Now have Atomic Orange 'Vert 6spd, 3LT. Love the vert', but my heart is still with my 1st vette, they do share the same attention and garage(sorta a shrine)

Last month I traded my Millenium Yellow 02 automatic coupe for an 07 LMB 6 speed coupe. I loved the 02. I ADORE the C6!

We started with C4 Coupes, with an 88, 92 and 96. Then convertibles beginning with a C5 in 02 then the C6 model in 05 and the current 07. Some dramatic and incremental improvements in each one. Lovin every mile and smile.
