Run Flats

Hey.. According to the Tire Rack, only Goodyear and Firestone make Summer UHP run flats for the 2005. Can that be right?

That's it. I'm going with Firestone when the time comes.

Used them on my C5. I was happy with them.

I had the same thought, until I read the November Consumer Reports. While they didn't test run flats, they did test summer UHP tires and while Goodyear didn't score that well, Firestone did worse. Their top rated UHP is the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. Goodyear was 8th, Firestone 14th. Again, these weren't run flats.

The firestone (Bridgestone) runflats came from Tire Rack Made in Japan.. The rating they had was better than the Good Year ratings for run flats. I found no problem with them. They were difinitely quieter. MHO..
