Had the first problem with my 08 yesterday. Walked into the garage and the passenger window was indexing up and down about half an inch with the car shut off, didn't even have the key fob on me. It would stop momentarily with the window down half an inch, and then start moving again. I haven't tried the index reset yet, I just learned about it. Also, I was unable to open the passenger side door. Has anyone else seen this problem?
Several different problems with doors and windows have been posted here. Some of them that didn't really seem to have anything to do with window indexing were cured by resetting the window indexing. I'd try that first.
I'd try reindexing first. If that doesn't help try disconnecting the battery for a while and try reindexing again. Might just need a "reboot". If that doesn't do it its time to see the dealer, assuming you can get it to do it while at the dealer...
I'll bet it's a bad touchpad that you use to open the door. Swap it with the driver's side. If it does it on the driver's side, that confirms it. Odrer one from the dealer and replace it yourself for $12. Beats taking it in and letting the shop guys go for a joyride.

My Corvette mechanic, a long time friend, makes about $100K a year bustin' knuckles. He doesn't have time for joy rides. He repairs broken vehicles.
Serious mechanics drive cars only when they have to drive cars; they're too busy, like the rest of us, trying to make a living...
Went home last night and tried to reset the window indexing. It didn't work at first, I had to disconnect the battery cables and then move the window up and down several times before I got the window in the up position. After that, I was able to perform the index reset.
