Default Birth Day

Today is my car's birthday! I can't wait to take delivery. I am a manager at GM and am doing a "drive & buy", so I can't do museum delivery, but as the next best thing I get a sweet di$count.

So to my Silver 2LT Z51 M6 coupe w/ red interior!! I now understand just how the excitement builds toward the due date...I'll post pix when I get her.

-Jeff

As managers, we get a company car. The cars are picked at random (right now I have an XLR!!! I have also had a Cavalier 4 door and 2 or 3 minivans...). They are rotated every 4 months (used to be 3). So, when we are ready to buy a car, we order the car through a central office, and it is delivered to a local GM distrbution center. I then drive the car for 4 months, and I can then buy the car with a further discount, which depends on the mileage I rack up. So, the total discount is about 15.5% for a full employee, plus the additional discount (up to 11%). Pretty good deal if you can get it....

Congratulations! And Happy Birthday!

Please let us know what you think of the Vette vs. the XLR. That would make a good 1st person review!

How much discount do you guys get? If it's substantial I might consider applying for a manager at GM
