Would anyone admit that given the opportunity, they should have chosen a different color, transmission, or other options, than they did? Or, even to have waited for the next year.
Had the timing been different, I probably would have waited for an '08, with the same options (maybe opted for the two tone interior). However, would have paid considerably more without the help of my 0% interest.
I am happy with my 07. There is nothing on the 08 that can't be done aftermarket with an earlier C6 from engine and exhaust mods to leather two tone interiors except maybe the improved steering.
BTW I love my AO paint.

I probably should have waited for at least an 06. But given that I may not have bought it in that time frame due to life occurrences, I'm glad I did buy when I did and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

if I had todo it differently I would have been born to Donald Trump
No regrets. Love the color, Monty Red, and the two-tone sport seats, red/black, stick shift, transparent top. I love the car! Magnaflows allow it to talk to me now.
The Corvette is an evolutionary vehicle. Change is merely change. If it improves the breed, I'm all for it! However, I'm a prudent buyer, and do not purchase GM vehicles the first year after major component changes. I suppose the '05 C6 was the most problematic of the C6's. I was concerned about the '08 having a new gearbox and engine, so I bought an '07, no regrets.

Kind of my reasoning. Of course in Feb. we didn't know as fact yet of the impending improvements coming in the '08's. Had I known, I may have opted to forgo the great interest rate and just wait it out. I chose the more financially sound route though. Still, alot to be said about waiting for the second or third gens, which is the route I'll be taking.

Hulks, I bet you do like your Z. Do you get to use the xtra muscle much or can you think clearly with a constant smile on your face?
I bought my magnetic red C6 Vert in March 2005, I loved the color and it took me 2 months + to find a mag red vert (only 423 made), wouldn't have changed a thing on the car.
I sometimes think that I should have waited until '06 since I had to pay full sticker on mine (C6 verts were still pretty new and were pulling full sticker everywhere) and would have loved to get the deep discounts people got just one year later.
The more I did think about it, however, I was glad I did buy when I did because I absolutely loved the color and wouldn't have been as happy with the Mont. Red or any other color as far as that goes. Plus the C6 was so new on the market, it was really special to be driving one the first year it was released, well worth the extra $ to me.
I had always wanted the new C6 Z06 all along, and I figured I'd just wait until the prices came down and think about one then.... I just sold my Vert for what I think as a reasonable price and take delivery of my '08 Z06 next week
If I wasn't upgrading to a Z, I would have never sold my '05 for the few upgrades of a non-Z '08.

I must admit....wait a minute....I actually I did take the opportunity to choose a different color. My last two Vettes were black and I stepped out there on the limb and bought a CRM this time. Damn glad I did too.
I might have been able to get an 07, since I got my used 06 in May 07...but then again, I wouldn't have been able to get DSOM. So in the long run I think I did the right thing.
I would have waited for 4 more months - and ordered an '08 for the improved steering and shifter (my only two real issues) - and settled for another color. Or saved another $1000 (or more) by buying a leftover '07 at that time.
Yeah... right!
There's not a chance I could have sat there with the money in the bank, and a beautiful spring and summer, and convinced myself that waiting would have been worth it!
Next Vette though... definitely a Museum Delivery!
