Nope. This "option" was only available on the '06 and '07 models. The '05 and '08 owners either have to pay the $199 for the upgrade or try to find a hand-me-down.

Fill in the info for your car. It will tell you that you are qualified for a free update. Call 877-NAV-DISC (877-628-3472) with your vin and you can order it. Takes about a week.

I have an 07 C6. I have my set of 08 Nav Disk's on the way. Problem is they are on Back order/Out of stock right now. I have my confirmation number etc. but they say it will take 4-6 weeks until I will receive them. Would be nice if I could get a temp backup copy until I have originals. Could anyone help me out?

I'm hoping the upgrade helps. It just seems absurd that my In car Nav that costs over $1000 extra is worse in every way to the $200 Garmin Nuvo I played with in Best Buy the other day.... I typed in several addresses that don't work on my Nav, my new condo/my office/local restaurant I remember(POI - State Parks) the $200 was flawless, and fast. Also the more expensive models have upgradeable maps which are free, and still less than my Nav system ;-)
I hope the new maps help. I like the clean look and integration, but why can't they do better seem to be several makers doing a great job with GPS systems.
for some reason the Corvette Forum states that my mailbox is full. I have emptied it twice. Can you email me at jconnelly3@comcast.net and I will reply with my shipping address.
Just out of curiosity I checked for a 2008 that I have only had for a month (Built Aug 31 2007) and they say there is an update availible for $199 part #25852830.I would think this new it should have the latest update at the time of purchase.

Is there a part number on the disk that came with your car? Is it the same? Do you have version 3 or version 4?
I seem to remember reading soemthing on here about the new discs being available for purchase in October. My car was built on 9/26/06 and I took delivery on 10/6/06, it came with version 3 in the glove compartment. I should be eligible for version 4 now.
