Here's how...Clean the "Corvette Dash Inset" with alcohol & Q-Tip. Go over this area at least 10 times. Make sure the dash is at a moderate tempeture, not to hot or cold.
I used tweezer's to apply the letters. Once installed, apply pressure for at least 10 seconds. Wait at least 12 hours before removing the clear plastic protecting the letters.
I had one corner that was stubborn, so I applied "gel locktite" with a toothpick on the corner of the letter, use very sparingly, this will work quickly and quite well.
When finished, apply dash protectant on a Q-tip and outline the letters with it, this will really make the letters stand out. Good Luck!

Those look great. They really stick nice to the bumper, I'm glad you got them in the dash too. Good work and thanks for sharing the picture!

Just installed these...Chrome inserts on ebony dash.
I just picked up a set of these from RPI but they do not look like they will lie as flat as those in your picture. Did you do anythink special or just follow the instructions. Mine are about 1/16 thick.
Those in the picture are decal or sticker type or I think they are. What you bought may or may not be the same depending on what you ordered. In my case, I ordered chrome ones but they are made of plastic and never did fit as they appeared to have been manufactured wrong. They are still on mine but don't look right because of it. I didn't return them to RPI because I had returned other letters in a different color that I didn't like...so didn't want to bother them again.
I spoke to RPI prior to buying these and they told me they only had two options and this is the one that would look the best on the dash. They are 1/16 thick so I'm guessing the edge will be fairly evident causing them to not quite look right. But it's hard to tell without actually putting them on but then I'm committed and probably won't be able to remove them without damage to the dash.
I don't think that's the case with the hard ones as those are what I have. Just a slightly sticky backing that should come off easily if you don't like the letters. I q-tip with ISO and should be totaly clean.
Yours look great in the picture. Just wondering if they stopped selling the type you have. Are yours a very thin decal/similar or something more thick, like 1/16th thick?
