Default Tire Question

I don't want to drive my '07 Vette this winter but with one exception ... I want to take it on my Illinois to Florida to Illinois trip in early Feb. to see my folks. My car came with the Eagle F1 GS2 EMT's. I see now that Goodyear is making an F1 A/S-C EMT that has a M&S rating. Same looking tread design. Would it be worth the $1500 minus what I can get for the GS2's on E-Bay to change them over? I have just over 500 miles total on the car so far. Anyone ever been caught on snow/ice with there GS2's? Any advice would be appricated. Thank You, JA

I've been considering buying the A/S-Cs as well, but on a second full set of wheels I picked up some time ago. The A/S-Cs are not snow tires, but I believe their rubber compound doesn't get quite as hard and slippery as GS2s and nowhere near like the Z51's SCs which become hockey pucks at freezing temperatures.

I used my stock wheels to put on Avon all seasons to drive on in the winter
